Choosing an Orlando Vacation Rental

There are several things to consider when choosing an Orlando vacation rental. The biggest question facing anyone heading to Orlando is whether to stay on or off the Disney properties. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. No matter where you decide to stay in Florida two things to consider are transportation and atmosphere.

If driving is a concern for you, staying on the properties may be the best idea. Disney offers an excellent bus system that runs from the resorts and other vacation rentals to the different parks. However, Walt Disney World is a huge place and you can spend vast amounts of travel time by staying on the property. Depending on how busy the park is, a person could easily spend 15 minutes getting from Walt Disney World to the park of their choice. Traveling with children may be also be easier if you have your own car.

Atmosphere is another thing to consider when booking a vacation rental. If you're traveling with children location is everything. Villas, condos, and resorts in the parks are theme oriented to entertain kids of all ages. Off-property lodging can be fun too. Most rentals come with some of the same amenities and themes that you will find with the resorts located in the park. For adults visiting the Orlando area, choosing a vacation rental outside of the Walt Disney World area can be peaceful and relaxing.
