Gamers will love the convenience and ease of Gamesandflix. This video game and DVD rental site has a huge selection of video games for the latest consoles as well as the original Playstation. Sign up for a free trial membership to start getting games in the mail. It usually takes 1 – 3 days, but it is not a guarantee. This is how it works:
Sign up for a membership and begin browsing hundreds of titles from the newest first-person action games to the older, classic games like Super Mario Bros. You browse by name, release type or genre. This makes finding your favorite games quick and easy. When you find one you want, add it to your queue by pressing the “Rent” button, or press the “Buy” button to get the game to keep. You have a choice as to how many games you have out at one time and as soon as you send one title back in the prepaid envelope that is included, Gamesandflix will send your next title immediately. Loading up your queue will ensure that you don’t run out of games to conquer any time soon. The membership is quite competitive running well under twenty dollars and with more companies getting on board, the prices seem to keep dropping.
If you ever decide to cancel your membership, it’s quite easy. Just go to your account area on the website and find where the ‘cancel’ button is. They’ll ask you to reconsider and then request a reason (optional) as to why you have left.
My only complaints are these: Gamesandflix has a few website issues that could use some improvement such as the “Rent” and “Buy” buttons. Not having paid much attention while at the top of the page, I did not remember which price went with which title. I had to scroll all the way back to see how it was organized. Also, the alphabetical searching tool does not include numbers. You have to search by genre or release to find games that start with numbers. And with used discs, the quality is not always going to be perfect. Especially with older discs, you run the risk of scratches where others have mishandled them. Of course, you can request a new title, but who wants to wait another day or so?
